How do I re-run an analysis with modifications?

Analyses·May 31, 2026·1 min·By Callmine Team

Re-run any past report from /reports/<id> with one click. The configuration preloads into /new. Edit prompt, filters, or model before submitting.

TL;DR

Open any past report and click Re-run. The configuration loads into /new pre-filled — prompt, filters, model, executive summary directive. Modify what you want and click Run.

Steps

  1. 01Open the report you want to re-run at /reports/<reportId>.
  2. 02Click Re-run in the top-right action bar. Callmine snapshots the configuration (prompt, filters, date range, model, executive summary directive) into a draft and routes you to /new.
  3. 03The /new builder loads with every field pre-filled. The start-mode chooser shows Write your own prompt selected; if the original was a library prompt, the category badge is preserved.
  4. 04Edit anything: tighten the prompt, widen the date range, switch model, add or remove a HubSpot filter. The draft persists in browser storage so closing the tab does not lose your edits.
  5. 05Click Run. Callmine queues the modified analysis. The original report is unchanged.

When to re-run vs save a preset

  • ·Re-run. One-shot variant on a past report. The draft is ephemeral.
  • ·Save as preset. Repeated future use. Presets store the full configuration (prompt, filters, date range) as a named row in your workspace. Saved presets that used a quick date range (last week, last 30 days) remember the relative range and resolve at load time, so the same preset always means "the most recent window".

Use re-run to iterate on prompts

Re-run is the fastest way to iterate prompt wording. Run on 10 calls, read the output, click Re-run, edit the prompt, run again. Same date range, same filters, same calls — what changes is the LLM output, which makes prompt deltas easy to spot.

§ Common questions

Frequently asked.

Does Re-run cost an extra quota slice?

Yes. Re-run is a new analysis — every call that reaches the LLM consumes quota independently. The original report stays untouched.

If I close the tab, is my draft saved?

Yes. Re-run drafts persist in browser storage until you submit or explicitly discard. Open `/new` later and the prefilled state is still there.

Can I re-run with the exact same filters as scheduled?

Yes. Re-run preserves the date range as it was at original run time (resolved to absolute dates). If you want a fresh window, edit the date range before submitting.

Does Re-run preserve the executive summary directive?

Yes, both the deal-level prompt and the executive summary override carry over to the new draft. Edit either before re-submitting.
