How do I upgrade, and what happens to my trial?
Upgrade from Settings → Billing. Stripe Checkout completes in a minute. Upgrading mid-trial preserves remaining trial days — no double-charge.
TL;DR
Open /settings → Billing and click Upgrade. Stripe Checkout runs in
a hosted flow. If you upgrade mid-trial, your remaining trial days
are honored — the first charge happens at the end of the original
trial window, not immediately.
Steps
- 01Open
/settingsand switch to the Billing tab. The tab is admin-only; if you don't see it, ask your workspace admin. - 02Click Upgrade on the plan you want — Starter, Growth, or Scale.
- 03Callmine redirects you to Stripe Checkout, hosted on Stripe's domain. Fill out card details. Stripe handles every aspect of payment processing.
- 04On success, Stripe redirects you back to Callmine. The plan
change takes effect immediately — new quota and retention are
live the moment you land back on
/settings.
Trial honor mechanics
Upgrading mid-trial is the most common path. Callmine passes your original trial end date to Stripe Checkout, so:
- ·You enter the paid plan immediately. Higher quota, more models, longer retention — all unlocked.
- ·You're not charged until the trial would have ended. If your trial had 12 days left when you upgraded, Stripe charges you on day 12, not today.
- ·You can cancel before the charge fires. If you upgrade, try the higher tier for a week, and decide it's not worth it, cancel via Settings → Billing → Manage subscription. No charge runs.
This means there's no penalty for upgrading early. Don't wait until the trial ends to upgrade — try the higher tier during the trial.
Mid-cycle upgrades vs renewals
If you upgrade from Starter to Growth mid-month, Stripe prorates: you pay the difference for the remaining days of the cycle. The next full charge is the new tier's price. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal — you keep the higher plan until then.
After upgrade
Higher tier quota is live immediately. Concurrency limits, model access, retention windows, schedule counts — all updated. Existing reports past the previous retention window stay visible. Future reports get the new retention.
